Plastic air rings with the vitality of drab pop chords, echoing throughout blackened retail caverns, walls adorned with skeletal wire chrome racks, flimsy chain link security doors hang limp, guarding air; symbols of the consumer leviathan soaked in bile wretchedly.

This echo chamber of faux marble, this hollow temple of bottom-line enterprise, this mannequin shit hole.

Let the stores close, let the groaning neon lights sputter to their wasteful end, let the cracked foundation heave clouds of polyester to blanket the ashen, blistered earth.

Decades of fashion gleam onward and mega malls bloom like wretched flowers of cancer across the green earth; but in good time the emerald forests will creep from the edges, swallowing the consumer bastions one by one while our plastic bones bleach, decompose.
